I was born in 1991 in Kuusamo, where I graduated from the high school and got 1st dan in Karate. After high school I moved to Rovaniemi to study at Rovala (basic studies in education 25 ECTs and basic studies in special education
25 ECTs). After about a year of studying in Rovala, I applied for and got to study media education at the University of Lapland.
I graduated as a master of education in December 2015 (major subject: media and digital technology in teaching and learning) and in the same year I also studied the separate teachers pedagogical studies (60 ECTs.). In addition to my studies, I worked for some time e.g. as a youth worker at the Mannerheim League for Child Welfare (MLL), in the Verme project (University of Lapland) and as a salesperson at Dressmann.

After my graduation, in 2016 I moved to Lahti and started to work as a Pedagogical ICT-Coordinator in Kouvola. During my work I, e.g., trained school staff (e.g. coding, O365, tablet) and taught simultaneously in classes.
I worked in Kouvola for over a year, but the blood pulled me back to Lapland.
After I moved back to Lapland, I have been working ever since at the University of Lapland in various roles, such as a University Teacher, a Project Manager, a Researcher, a Post-doc Researcher, a University Lecturer, and a Doctoral School Coordinator. I'm currently working a Project Manager (GeroDigiLead & Arctic RoboWelfare -projects [2023-2026]). I have also publicly defended my dissertation that bears the following title: "Developing Media Literacy Geragogy for Older People through Design-based Research" on December 17, 2021. The dissertation combines current interests, i.e., older people, media literacy and its guidance (media literacy geragogy), research, and project work, although I easily get excited about any topic and work! With the OdigO, GeroDigiLead, and Arctic RoboWelfare-projects, my interest has expanded even more in guidance for developing the digital competences of adults and aging populations and e.g. to the themes of robotics and robotics literacy.
